Please keep this page as a reference for the 2012 Bill Pearl High Desert Classic. For mail-in registration, print and return the completed Entry Form along with your Entry Fee; only check or money order payments will be accepted with mail-in entries. Payment for online registration can be made using the PayPal option at the end of the form; only Visa and Mastercard will be accepted.

EVENT LOCATION: Riverhouse Hotel & Convention Center in Bend, OR. Contest will be held in the Convention Center.
(Friday night Competitor Check-In will be at a designated area in the Hotel. Saturday morning Check-In will be at the Convention Center.)

 

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO COMPETITORS: Please remember to bring your own bed sheets and towels, as you will be charged additional fees by the Hotel if any of the Hotel linens are stained by your body tanning products.

ELIGIBILITY: Entrants must be current NPC-registered athletes. You may register with the NPC at early competitor check-in on Friday evening, May 11th, or at final check-in on Saturday, May 12th. The 2012 NPC Registration fee is $100. Competitors who wish to enter a Novice class must have not placed first in any contest prior to this event.

NPC NATIONAL QUALIFIER: The Bill Pearl High Desert Classic is a National Qualifier. The top two men and women* in each Open Bodybuilding class qualify for the NPC Nationals, USA Championships and/or any Junior National level competition. The top five Fitness and Figure competitors qualify for any Junior National level competition. The top three in each class Qualify for any National level show. The top three men and women** in Physique qualify for any National level show. Eligibility for all qualifiers is good for one year.
*  As of 2012, Women Bodybuilding competitors are not required to 'qualify' for Nationals.
** Women who qualify in Bodybuilding may not cross over to Physique in a National level show.

 

**EARLY-BIRD REGISTRATION BEGINS FEBRUARY 1, 2012!**

EARLY REGISTRATION FEES & DEADLINE: $60 for the first class entered, $90 total for 2 classes. Early-Bird entries must be received postmarked by May 2, 2012 If you are entered in at least 1 individual class, mixed pairs registration is free.

LATE REGISTRATION FEES & DEADLINE: $80 for the first class entered, $110 total for 2 classes for all entries received postmarked after May 2, 2012.

ENTRY CLASSIFICATION: Bodybuilders may enter a maximum of two individual classes (if qualified) and Mixed pairs. Example: Masters/Novice or Masters/Open, or Juniors/Novice or Juniors/Open. A Bodybuilding combination of Open/Novice, Bodybuilding/Physique, or Bodybuilding/Bikini is not allowed. Fitness/Figure entrants may compete in both Fitness and Figure, or Masters Figure and a Figure Height Class. Female Bikini and Physique competitors will be allowed to cross over to Figure or Fitness classes.

PAYMENTS: Payment must accompany the entry form, and be made in the form of check, money order or PayPal/credit card (to pay through PayPal, refer to the bottom of the online entry form).

PayPal/Credit Card payments must be Visa or Mastercard only.
All entry fees submitted are non-refundable. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

 

MUSIC: Music must be recorded on an audio CD (no MP3 Files) with your maximum 60 second music being the only recording on the CD - no other format will be accepted! Music must be turned in at competitor check-in or you will not be able to complete the check-in process.
CD should be CLEARLY labeled with the competitor's name, weight class, and whether the routine is walk-on/on-stage start. Also make note of any pauses in your music. (Note: if you are entered in more than one class, you will only perform one individual routine with your first class during the evening event - exceptions are mixed pairs routines)
IMPORTANT: Your CD may contain NO PROFANITY. **We reserve the right to substitute house music if your music is not acceptable.**

POSING ROUTINES: Bodybuilders will be allowed up to 60 seconds for their posing routine. Women's Fitness will be allowed up to 2 minutes. Absolutely NO SEXUAL INNUENDOS are permitted in routines or music. This is grounds for disqualification per NPC rules and will be strictly enforced. If you have musical lyrics or routine “moves” that are questionable, please remove them from your routine and/or music. This is a family-oriented event. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.

VIDEO: No video cameras, Tripods, or Professional Photography will be allowed. The competition will be professionally photographed and video taped. Video & DVD orders will be taken at the event. Post-event orders can be made through the company providing such services (see Photo Album page for contact information).

 

COMPETITOR CHECK-IN: Early check-in will be located at Riverhouse Hotel on Friday, May 11 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Final Check-in will be located at the Riverhouse Convention Center on Saturday, May 12 from 8:00 to 9:00 AM. All competitors must wear their competition posing suit for check-in, at which time NPC officials will determine if the suit meets regulation. Competitors who check in on Saturday, please allow yourself enough time to complete your check-in before 9:00 AM.

 

COMPETITOR GUIDELINES: All competitors will follow NPC rules, guidelines, and mandatory poses.

DAY OF THE EVENT: Check in will close promptly at 9:00 AM; the Competitor Meeting will begin at 9:20 AM in the Auditorium. The Competitor Meeting is MANDATORY, as you will receive instructions regarding the event. All contestants can expect to be introduced and participate in the night show, so be prepared! The Top 5 competitors will be called back on stage for awards.

FITNESS / FIGURE / BIKINI / PHYSIQUE INFORMATION: Fitness, Figure, Physique and Bikini will each have one swimsuit round. Fitness and Masters Figure will each have one class, unless the final number of competitors is large enough to divide. Thong or Brazilian-cut swimsuits will not be allowed (check NPC official rules for details).

FITNESS / FIGURE COMPETITORS: Contestants will be brought out in one or two lines of quarter turns. Judges will score athleticism by assessing the degree of firmness, symmetry, proportion and overall physical appearance, including complexion, poise and overall presentation.

BIKINI COMPETITORS: Bikini competitors will be permitted to cross-over into Fitness or Figure for this event. Competitors must wear high heel shoes of any type. There is no heel height requirement. Swimsuits do not have to be “competition” style, but must be in good taste and at the discretion of the NPC head judge. Competitors may wear jewelry, but body oil is not permitted.

PHYSIQUE COMPETITORS: Physique competitors will be permitted to cross-over into Fitness or Figure for this event. Competitors will be barefoot. Swimsuits do not have to be “competition” style, but must be in good taste and at the discretion of the NPC head judge. Competitors may wear jewelry, but body oil is not permitted.

** All Competitors will be judged on Saturday morning. This includes all Bodybuilders, Figure, Fitness, Bikini, and Physique Competitors. The Judging Event will begin at 10:00AM Saturday. **

TANNING: Spray tan services will be available at the event. Tanning services provided by Northwest Competition Coloring. Locations for this service will be posted at the Event Location. Please contact Northwest Competition Coloring directly to schedule appointments.

 

EVENT ADMISSION TICKETS: All tickets will be available starting February 1st, up to/including the day of the event. On Saturday, May 12, Doors will open at 9:30 AM for the morning Judging Event. Judging Event Admission cost is $15.00. Doors will open at 5:30 PM for the evening Final Event. Final Event Admission cost is $35. Tickets for both events may be purchased as a package for a reduced cost of $45. All ticket sales are final.

Please note, seating is first-come, first-served. It is advised that you pre-purchase your tickets to guarantee availability. On Event Day, tickets will be available for purchase at the door from 8:30AM until the end of the Judging Event, and from 5:00PM until at least 30 minutes after the start of the Final Event. Visa and MasterCard payments are available through PayPal for pre-purchased tickets. Tickets sold at the door will be cash or check only.

**PLEASE KEEP TRACK OF YOUR TICKETS!**
Lost, misplaced, forgotten, or stolen tickets will not be replaced. Admission to the event will not be permitted without a ticket. This event is limited-seating and may sell out in advance of the show date. Please be aware that tickets go on sale February 1st, 2012.
